- Beaverhead Rock State Park
- Sacagawea recognized this huge landmark, resembling the head of a swimming beaver, while traveling with the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805. Site can be viewed and photographed from a distance but it is not directly accessible.

- This rock outcropping provided an opportunity for members of the Lewis and Clark Expedition to view the route ahead. Captain William Clark climbed this hill overlooking the Beaverhead River to scout what lay ahead for the Lewis and Clark Expedition. You can drive to the site located just 1 mile north of Dillon off Highway 91, park right next to it, and walk the trail to the top.

- Built for William A. Clark, one of the principle developers of copper mining in Butte, The Copper King Mansion was constructed from 1884-1888 and cost the fabulous amount of $260,000.00 dollars to complete. The Mansion was designated as a National Historic Place in1971. In 1972 the Mansion became the first home in Montana to be declared a Montana Historic Site.

- Established by Canadian fur trader John Grant, and expanded by cattle baron Conrad Kohrs, Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site commemorates the Western cattle industry from its 1850s inception through recent times. The park was enacted in 1972, and embraces 1,500 acres and 90 structures. The site is maintained today as a working ranch.
