Did you know a goal of the Beaverhead County Resource Use Committee (BCRUC) is to support the development and revision of Beaverhead County Comprehensive Plan; to include all resources upon which county customs, cultures, and economy are dependent; provide county government with a tool that will enable the county to effectively influence government and non-government entities when making decisions that affect environment, customs, cultures, and economy of the people of Beaverhead County?

The (State of) Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery has released their list of plant materials available for purchase and delivery in March 2003. These materials can not be used for urban, landscaping or ornamental purposes. The materials must be used for conservation purposes, like shelter belts, stream bank stabilization or wildlife cover/feed.

The Jefferson River Watershed Council (JRWC) invites you to attend a coordination meeting for watershed groups in the Ruby, Beaverhead, Big Hole and Jefferson watersheds.

Who Is Invited: Members of watersheds groups in the above-referenced watersheds, watershed and Conservation District Board members, Conservation District Administrators, and other interested parties.

Meeting Date & Location: November 5, 2002 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall in Twin Bridges.

Job Description: Complete job description available at Dillon Job Service; Position requires skills in typing, computer knowledge and verbal presentation; general knowledge of land use planning, resource use, environmental, economic and human impact issues; requires HS diploma, work experience & college degree (preferred); work to last from 10 months to 2 years; wage doe/q; no benefits provided; will participate as a full member of the USFS ID Team and will provide expertise and information to FS and the co commissioners on county roads, weeds, access issues, land use, etc.; open until filled.
